Bhagirathi Jayanti is observed in remembrance of the sacred descent of the Ganga through the devotion and penance of King Bhagiratha. Devotees worship Ganga Devi, perform Ganga Puja and remember the spiritual importance of sacred rivers.
ಭಾಗೀರಥಿ ಜಯಂತಿಯಂದು ರಾಜರ್ಷಿ ಭಗೀರಥರ ತಪಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಗಂಗಾದೇವಿ ಭೂಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಗಂಗಾ ಪೂಜೆ, ಪವಿತ್ರ ನದಿಗಳ ಸ್ಮರಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಆಚರಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
