Amavasya is the concluding Tithi of Krishna Paksha and is dedicated to the Pitru Devas. It represents introspection, ancestral remembrance, spiritual cleansing and renewal. This Tithi is highly auspicious for Pitru Tarpana, charity, meditation, temple worship and seeking blessings from departed ancestors.
